Made it to Bangkok safely, where I cleared customs with no hassles and booked myself a one way ticket to Chiang Mai on Air Asia. I got in around 5 pm, which must have been at least 30 hours after leaving San Diego. Once here I booked myself at the recommended Sri-Tokyo Hotel. It's on the northwest corner of town right next to a few malls. After a quick email check I went to Central Kad Suan Kaew Mall for a thai iced tea and pad thai dinner. Mmmm...spicier here. I had wanted to branch out a little, but by that point I was hungry and tired enough that I considered caving and eating at an American chain when I had trouble finding anything Thai with an English menu. The thought of pointing and eating made me nervous. :-)

Uneventful evening browsing Thai TV and passing out early, although I was awake by sunrise this morning. Off to clean up and find breakfast and then spend the day exploring!

Tea
Is Thai Iced Tea there actually the same as it is in the US or is it just like regular iced tea there?
