Cynthia's Reflections from Abaco...one of the world's best kept secrets

Who knew that such a wonderful treasure was hidden right here on earth! I had never heard of Abaco prior to coming to the Bahamas and I am pleasantly surprised and awestruck at the natural beauty of this island. The Abaconian Rotarians showed us a wonderful time in Marsh Harbour and took us on mini adventures to Treasure Cay (pronounced "Key"), Green Turtle Cay and Elbow Cay/Hope Town. The photos speak for themselves so I've attached several so that you can see what we have been blessed to experience firsthand.

Our team members rallied around a fellow teammate to help her overcome her fear of water. We won't say who she is but she exhibited great strength in facing her fears head on. We're proud of her courage!

Leaving Abaco
We had one final test in Abaco -- we had to figure out the best way to stack all of our luggage atop the small airport scale. It wouldn't be so bad if one team member who shall remain nameless (perhaps the person submitting this blog entry) didn't bring everything including the kitchen sink.
