Have you ever wondered what over 400 children looked like all packed in a building made for 250 people?

Today we would have found out if they just would have all fit…. But they didn’t! It was a CRAZY DAY at the kids Seminar!!!! (with crowd control being the main problem, but we recruited help!) There were over 400 children counted and more slipping through the gates all around. The building was packed to the rim! We started by lining up the children outside in age groups and started taking in the littlest ones first! By the time we got the last pew being full and I mean FULL like you’ve never seen a pew packed before, my group of the older kids was still left standing outside waiting to get in, but there was no where for them to go.

So we walked out to the fence line and just had our own little group gathering there. I called over some of the teenagers from the church to come help lead them in songs and keep them all together while I checked back in the building searching for space… When I came back, Patrick Kamarage, Agnes and

For Bible Class on Friday at Arusha
Kamarage’s son (Both strong faithful members of the Arusha congregation) and he was teaching the boys a quick lesson on manners and quietness! It was wonderful to see these older guys stepping up to the plate and pitching in, even if they didn’t hang around long, they were there for awhile to help out and help encourage the boys to behave! Then after the teenagers left Neema and I picked back up where we left off the day before studying 1Timothy with these young boys! Teaching them to be soldiers and servants for Christ, at the same time! They were wonderful in class; I say that, in that we only had to escort 2 out to the gate for rudeness. But we had 92 there in our overflow class of older children.

The girls were all challenged with their very large groups of children. We had 4 classes going at once with around 70 to 80 kids in each group, we got the award for the largest class, all sitting out under the trees in the church yard with 2 teachers and 1 translator in each group, you kind sometimes feel overwhelmed and outnumbered but they all did a wonderful job!

Brent & Carey along with several of the men from the church all showed up to be our gate guards as we dismissed the kids to make sure that the kids all headed home, without trampling each other. Even little Aubrey had a stick! haha...
But today we passed out tracks to all of the children to take home to their families as they were headed out the back door. The ladies caught a few trying to push their way through the little ones and held them back to wait till the end... We were all a little rugged looking by the end of the day!

The Men’s and Ladies seminar this morning were both a great success as well with over40 men and 50 ladies present to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, strengthening themselves spiritually with each new class and each and every teacher! Today was the final day for the men and the women have one more day to go, Saturday will close out the week long Seminars with the Women gathering together again from 9AM to 3PM and the Children from 4PM to 6PM.

Neema Martin was our MC for the day and did a wonderful job at making sure everything went smoothly. Thank you so much to all the teachers who have studied and prepared these great lessons for the Seminar this week!

Tonight was the Gee’s night at feeding the masses. They were waiting here at the school for us with BBQ chicken and beans. I can’t tell you how much we appreciate all that everyone is doing to make this year’s Campaigns so wonderful! Everything it takes to keep things running and moving along for these three weeks takes so many playing a part and doing their jobs and it is a lot of work, but a work that brings forth the great feeling of a job well done and the blessings of some good nights filled with sound sleep and many answered prayers, as the church is being edified and many souls are being reached by the power of the Gospel!

May you be blessed in whatever your hands find to do today for the glory of the Father!
In Christian Love,
Julie Richardson
