Le grand Tower et moi!
Just like every other photo of it, only with a hairy Candian in front of it! I arrived in Paris on June 2nd. I didn´t have any plans other than making my way to the coast. I spent the day crusing the streets of Paris. Saw the Eifel Tower, Le Louvre and Notre Dame all in about 2 hours. Check, now for some adventure. At Charles De Gaulle Airport, I bought a map of all of Europe. Biarritz, France seemed like a good town visit, so I made my way down there on an overnight train.
I spent a few days in Biarritz shopping around for a board, hanging out at the beach, eating lots of bread and cheese. I managed to find myself a nice used 9´8, tuflite longboard. As you can imagine it´s been dificult riding the train and buses with such a huge plank. The people of France have been good to me. Alhtough my french is a bit rusty and mixed with spanish, I´ve been making friends along the way.
I left Biarritz on June 8th, on a train into Zarautz, Spain. Here I was hoping to work on my spanish skills, but quickly found out that this is Basque country, where Basque is the official language, not spanish. Ha!! Lucky
Beach break-Le Grand Palge-Biarritz, France
Biarritz on an average day. Powerful waves and lots of fun. for me a smile and some arm waving goes a long way.
Today is June 10th, and I´m in Mundaka, Spain, waiting for some swell to roll in. Stay tuned for some more pictures and updates.
All the best to everyone!
