Fraser Island

Oh my goodness....Fraser Island was BEAUTIFUL!!! We were soooo lucky too, as the weather was absolutely pefectissimo for us!! No rain AT ALL!!hehe

It was soo great to meet up with Megs and Emma and they also brought a girl that they met in Byron with them called Lesley who was also really lovely! :D We had an awesome group and such a fabby time on the Island in our 4x4 :P On the first day we went to Lake Mackenzie which was awesome.....it's one of the top ten beaches in the world and it really was out of this world. It's not actually a sea beach, but a freshwater lake with a beach. This meant that there was no horrid salty water....you could actually drink the water you were swimming in, and it tasted soooooo good!! As it was such a sunny nice day the fact that the water was tres cold didn't matter and we really had the best time playing in the water and lounging in the sun! :D

We also went to see the Mahino shipwreck on the Island which was really cool...got some great photos which I will try and get up on the net asap! We camped with the other 3 groups that came out on the same day as us whcih was great fun! Met some really nioce people who are also on the Oz Ex bus which is great. We partied on into the night (well about 12!haha) and then went to bed! lol....we're not losers, but the fact that it gets dark soooo early means that you start drinking really early and then you're knackered by about 12!!hehe

The next day we went to Indian Head and the champaigne pools which were both totally gorgeous! We spent most of the day there before heading back down to our camp for the night. At this point we managed to lose all of the other groups and so spent the night on our own at the campsite....it was still really fun though and we all bonded whilst playng some drinking games!!hehe 😊

On our last day we went to Lake Whabi which has massive sanddunes that you can run down into the water...I only dipped my toes in as I forgot my bikini bottoms, twas very cold!!hehe, Only the boys really went in as they are a little kerazy and seem to enjoy freezing water!! :P It was such a beautifu; day again though and we had lotts and lotts of fun!! :D

Now i'm back in Rainbow Beach and it just rained on us!!haha sooo glad i'm back here as I really don't think that it would have been as fabulous in the rain with lotts of wet sand!!

I'm off to Hervey Bay tonight with Ollie and Steve and then onto Kroombit Cattle Station tomorrow to do some goat herding on horseback and to ride a mechanical bull!! Should be fun!!hehe

I meet up with Megs and Emma again next week for the Whitsundays and then we're pretty much staying together all the way up to Cairns, back to Sydney and in New Zealand! GOOD TIMES

Hey cazaroo! well sounds like you had a fantastic time on fraser island, looked at your photos on facebook and it looks absolutely gorgeous! - idyllic even. Where you off too next then? Glad to see you've met some good mates, they seem cool. Miss you lots darl, take care lovely and needless to say keep having bucket loads of fun! :) xxxx
