Hello!

Sorry I have not written lately. The days sometimes go by too fast and it was really expensive for internet in Prague. So I have some catching up to do from my last entry.

We had an awesome time in Berlin, we had a couple busy days of wandering so the last day there we took it easy and hung out in a local park and sampled the various types of Czech beer. They had some different flavours like strawberry and apple and there were dogs everywhere in Berlin so we just drank and relaxed and watched the dogs in the park. Life is tough, I know. We took a train to Prague last Wednesday. Another beautiful city, but we found it verz busy with tourists and therefore it was fairly expensive. We trecked through Prague Castle - how awesome! There was a good view from a lookout at the top of one of the towers, but to get there we had to walk up 287 steps up a spiral stone staircase....slightly claustrophobic and we started to feel the effects of eating mostly bread, cheese. beer and wine for the last week! It was worth it. There was a dungeon in the castle with creepy torture devices and cells that prisoners would be kept in. The whole place was awesome. In one of the churches in the square we saw some choirs, and the sound was incredible, I keep taking pictures of all these places, but it just doesn§t do it justice.

One of the nights in Prague we planned on going on a ghost tour of the city, but it was some sort of Czech holiday and the tour guide did not show up so we decided to go on a pub crawl. They give you some free beer, and shots at different pubs then to a big club at the end. It was nice to socialize a bit and meet some new people. We ended up meeting a guy from England and we hung out with him most of the night. He was also planning on touring around, so we rented a car together and drove to Ceskz Krumlov yesterday. It is about 2 hours south of Prague. It is a real quaint town and it is soooo nice to be out of the bustling city for a change. There is a castle here too and we plan to check it out tomorow, however, we saw a bit of it lastnight when we were wandering around. There is a mote with bears in it! So far the best times have been drinking cheap wine by a river or canal. Although, the box wine is not worth the small amount of money you save, haha. Today we rented a boat and went rafting. well, not really hardcore rafting but there were a few rapids. Unfortunately Alex, the English guy, did not row his share and us 3 girls had to do most of the work, haha. I guess the scenary was just too distracting for him and the Czech beer too good. We are planning on taking a train to Vienna tomorrow and spending a couple of nights there. Apparenlty it is quite expensive so we will not spend much time there and move on to Budapest instead.

Well, I am pooped from all the paddling today so I am off to bed.

Keep on Keeping On, and hope to write soon,

K.
