Hey All!

This will be a short blog, I really don't have too much to report. I have been really sick with a lovely combination of flu and chest cold. The flu kept me from work twice last week, and the chest cold loves to keep me up at night coughing. I was told the Yellow Dust (that comes in the wind from China) was to be ending shortly. Apparently, this person was mistaken, and it is just beginning. It will last about two months, and there are days when looking at the mountains it appears as if they are shrouded in a yellowish blanket. Unfortunately, the effects of the Yellow Dust are not just the inability to breathe, but it also can carry bacteria and disease. Fabulous.

On that note, Daniel and I have decided to stay a second year. Daniel got a job promotion (Yay!) and feels it necessary to spend more time in the position. Also, by agreeing to a second year he gets a pay raise which is nice. I'm much more in favor of staying another year than he is. We have already been here two months and I feel like we haven't seen or done nearly as much as I'd like. Much of that is my fault: with my horrible school schedule I don't have the opportunity to do anything during weekday evenings. I am actually currently looking for a different school with a much more reasonable schedule.

I have a three day weekend in two weeks, so we are considering flying to Japan for those days. Just have to see if Daniel can get that Monday off.

Last night we went to a really cool Comical Martial Arts Performance in Jongno called JUMP!. It was in a small, really nice theater and we really enjoyed it! It was a story about a family of martial artists, and a young suitor comes to woo the daughter. Chaos ensues when burglars try to rob the house... it's full of hilarious sound effects, lighting, and stunts. There are shows in NYC too, if you ever have the chance! It was described as a "sweet and fun love story" although I think it was more energetic and funny.

OK, that's it for today. Sorry I don't have much else, but we haven't done anything too crazy lately. Hopefully, I'll have more for you next time! Take Care!

Yuck! That Yellow Dust (Asian Dust: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asian_Dust) sounds downright nasty! I guess that's why the locals sometimes wear face masks...? I'd be curious as to whether you guys have gotten into that habit, too? I think it would take some getting used to to don a mask to wear everywhere...
