Byron's future hermana
This week was the week of telling everyone of our move...including everyone else at work. It has been hard for me as I love the people at my job so very much that they have become like my family. Most reactions have included: "WHAT?!" "You can just do that?" "I am extremely saddened for losing you and jealous and happy all at once" "When can I visit?!" "I wish I could do that" and "You guys are so inspiring." Each time we tell people, it gets easier and easier, but my heart strings get pulled at every person's reaction.

We can't wait to have visitors and as of right now, it appears we are going to have a lot of them! Of course things change and people may want to wait on visiting us which we understand. We have made July completely off-limits to visitors so we can adjust and make it our home. So far, everyone wants to come for Dia de los Muertos (Day of The Dead) in early November but I am the most curious about the September national holidays and Christmas.

As for our standing with our little casita, we are in for July 1st- January 1st. Recently, we received an email from our landlady saying two parties were already interested in moving in right after we leave on January 2nd and renting ALL of 2009. This of course made our little hearts skip a beat as we were planing on staying down there for a few months and then deciding if we wanted to extend our lease. Luckily, our landlady (I will call her Senora from now on) upon hearing we may stay longer, will not take a deposit from the other parties. We have agreed that in 6 weeks, we will know if we want to stay longer, then we can extend our lease with the casita.

Did I mention our Senora has a dog too? So Byron will have an hermana (sister) down in San Miguel.
