Between Winton and BouliaBetween Winton and BouliaBetween Winton and Boulia

The last undulation in the landscape for miles!
We went to the Qantas museum in Longreach Where we got to go in an old 60-70s plane there was first class and your alLowed to smoke Yuk!!!!! it is one of the first planes named after bunbUry.We left longreach to go to Winton. There we went to the Waltzing Matilda center and saw some dinosawr bones they dug up there in Winton (a whole body no missing peices). We left winton and headed straight to Boulia. Now we are working so much with the cows, shifting them, yarding them putting them on trucks.I got to nuRse a baby cow for 2 hours in the back of a ute cause it had no mum it made my back sore.It is hot here but in the after noons there is a bit of a breeze.

Westward Ho Station is where we have pulled up for a while. Yi Haa!!! Kris and I have a caretakers job here. The station is 46 kms from Boulia on the edge of the Simpson Desert. They are in fairly severe drought at the moment. The owners have had to move away to educate thier young son who is down syndrome. They are here for the school

holidays and have another boy Clancys age. We have been mustering, draughting and branding cattle scince we arrived. The kids all help and the girls have become very brave little cowgirls already. It is hot and dry and very dusty work.
Clancy went in the mustering plane this morning, glad I wasn't there I would have freaked out. I have watched him from the ground and he is mad!
The girls start school with Mt Isa school of the air next week and we go up to Mt Isa monday to meet thier teachers. Clancy has a camp with school of the air in May. We are loving here, totally different lifestyle, and Kris is in his element.
In Boulia is a new 4 million dollar Sports and Aquatic centre. I am teaching 4 classes a week there, starting next week. With a population of only 300 I'm not expecting a huge turnout.
I will have drive home from my classes in the dark one night a week, Hope I don't run into the Min Min light, or the Min Min light doesn't run into me! The mysterious unexplained desert light.

On the Anzac weekend we are going into
