John Wayne and Calamaty Jane get ready for their expedition
After a nightmare checkin process to Ecuador which invloved us queing for almost 2 hours Iberia redeemed themselves by bumping us up to business class....Result...just goes to show that you don´t need to work in Investment banking to get the treatment. This was Mel´s first experience so we made the most of it by drinking everything on the menu!

Quito is a dangerous place and not really that inviting so we decided to do a horse trek to the equator. This was really cool...Hot and sunny in the morning, cold and wet in the afternoon but great views around one of Ecuador´s many volcanos! Mel was very scared at first as she had never ridden a horse before let alone a South American horse that likes to run down mountains at high speed. No exaggerating. However after she found her feet she loved it and was cantering all over the place. Now she wants to do it all the time.

Next stop Galapagos!
