Edit Blog Post
The last couple months have been pretty busy for me and I’ve not kept up with my travelblogging. So here is a very brief update.
I’ve been taking a drama/acting class on weeknights. Wednesday nights are filled with by a certificate wine tasting course taught by a Master of Wine, of which there are only 264 in the world. I’ve also been doing paid (starving artist type pay) voice work with a group of actors. The jobs have been for a firm that is preparing an English as a second language course. We do a fair amount of work for just a few minutes of final cut and edited dialogue… very interesting process to be involved in.
Of course I’ve been working during the day with SKM. They’ve actually used me on their web page to promote international and graduate recruitment. A few weeks ago they sent me on a photos shoot with a professional photographer for some marketing photos out on a jobsite. Recently I’ve been managing a project out at the airport, to date it has been going very well.
Last week I moved from my first and what I will always consider my favorite New
Making a room look larger than what it is, is very difficult.
I've spent the last few days shopping to complete the apartment. Zealand home; which I’d been at for the last 19 months… the longest I’ve ever stayed at one address for more than 10 years. It was a difficult decision to move on and only made the decision to once I new a friend was looking for a flatmate for a downtown apartment. I’ve only had a chance this weekend to spend more than a few waking hours unpacking and setting up my new address (for those of you that want the address either contact me or Jeanette). Tonight is the first night my room isn’t cluttered with boxes, what a relief. On a side note it's curious that my new apartment is a mere 200ft from the hostel were I passed my first month in NZ.
Anyway I should take off for now it’s just after 10:30pm Sunday night.
All my best….

Modern Living
Hi Donavin! Your place looks great! It's not that small to me, but then, I've been getting used to NYC size places. I love the decor. Very modern and European. Dan and I just bought a real house in Royal Oak Michigan, not far from Detroit, and a) the first thing we're doing is removing the ugly gold knobs, shell sinks, light fixtures, big dark drapes, etc. to give it a more modern european style look (which is hard to do in the States because very few stores sell that stuff!) and b) we're trying to figure out what in the heck we're going to do with 3300 sq ft! We honestly tried hard to buy smaller, but it was impossible to find any new construction in the area closer to 2000 sq ft. Typical American consumerism! So all I can say now is, we expect many visitors, cause boy do we have the space!!!
