Edit Blog Post

It has been a few months since my last travelblog (actually 63 days) so I thought I would let all of you know I am still alive and let you know what is going on. I left Vietnam a few months ago and cruised through Cambodia. I spent several days visiting the ruins of Angkor in late January. Since then I returned to Thailand, put down my camera and picked up my pen. I have been back in Chiang Mai, Thailand for, ypes - almost two months trying to finish a project (website) that I started almost 5 years ago.

Now that I think about it, the project in a round about way is travel related. I thought of the idea on a greyhound bus going to Colorado to visit my friend Wendy. All the people who have been helping me with the project I met while traveling. Kathy who is so patient and helpful proofing my sloppy writing I met 4 years (or 5) ago on a cruise to Europe. Christine who helped get my website going and who came up with the design I met two years ago (or was it one) in Bolivia. Jon who is doing my programming I met in Thailand and Kathryn who has given some great ideas on how to make my website look better I met 5 years ago in Austria! Plus Adam you helped with the first website when I was in Iquitos, Karencita you were kind enough to let me use your laptop and stay in your sisters beach front house to write after my laptop was stolen. J-dog, you still have a step that you are going to proof. If I forgot anybody my apologies. Without all your guys help this wouldn't have been possible - Thanks!

I am at the point where now I need to figure out how to get people to visit the website. I followed a line from the movie Field of dreams - "if you build it they will come", well I built it and they aint coming! So if any of you have ideas on how to increase traffic please feel free to let me know - I will be greatful. Also, if you actually checkout the website and want to give me feedback fire away. By the way if you know anyone who may benefit from it feel free to let them know too. One more by the way, if you do let anyone know, tell them the "entire "course" is free through the month of April, it's my way of saying thanks and kicking things off. Oh ya the website is called:

themoneycoach

I am hoping to finish up administrative tasks here in a week or two and get back on the road to somewhere. I don't know where I am heading, maybe china or India. I will flip a coin and let you know. Hope all of you in the States are surviving the current economic situation. Traveling isn't much better with the dollar getting hammered, I know all of you guys in Europe, Australia, Canada ... are saying it's about time", but hey cut us a little slack ok. 😊

Wonderful photos
Good to hear from you again and the photos bring back fond memories of Angkor. Coincidentally, I just started reading The Gate by Francois Bizot. It is an autobiographical story about a Frenchman held capture by the Khmer. It is an extraordinarily well-written book. I am 3/4 of the way through a semester of Vietnamese language, in preparation of my return their in Dec. Travel well, my friend.
