Today we went to an Easter Sunrise Service here on the beach. It was bilingual and very low-key and presented by the Mission church called La Vida Nueva. We really enjoyed it and were glad that we attended---5.30 AM! Everyone gathered with his/her own chairs and the service began wiht candlelight and then lots of songs followed by a nice sermon by the pastor. An offering was NOT even passed! Impressive! The service was over in about an hour.
Getting up that early makes for a long day. Mike chose to go back to sleep for a few hours but I can never do that! I worked a couple of hours on my ceramic table, did some laundry and then went to the big garage sale! I got a cute little jacket made in Guatemala for $2! I also got 3 sets of sheets in nearly new condition (are you proud of me, Joyce???), a set of bowls, some measuring spoons and a laundry basket for $12! The rest of the day, Mike did some primering and I went for a walk on the beach and "squatted" at the Palmas Hotel pool and had a couple of beers poolside. It was great. BUT....the wind was bad again today......so weird.
Bob and Sue: the sting rays were really flying though the water today! I can even hear them tonite! No, I didn't go in my boat today!
Later we went to the Baja Cactus for dinner. Very good.......
It's a rough life, but am glad we are the ones who have this opportunity!
