We arrived safely in Beaver, UT late tonight after 12 hours of travelling. Of course, one hour of that included an enjoyable breakfast at our favorite home-cookin' restaraunt, Cracker Barrell (thanks Rich and JoAnn!).
The scenery in southern Idaho and Utah has become more desolate: We saw a tumble weed, and many snow-capped mountains. And thanks to a nice tailwind, our gas milage incresed from 9.5 mpg to 11.5 mpg. Wind power is a good thing! About 7 pm we arrived in Salt Lake City. Unfortunately we didn't have time to stop and explore the area, but we could make out the angel Moroni on top of the huge, Notre Dame like, Mormon Cathedral. Did you know it took them 40 years to build it?! We are looking forward to driving much less tomorrow. We are only 80 miles away from our next stop, Bryce Canyon National Park.

Greetings
Have a great safe trip. Particularly enjoy Bryce Canyon; I was 12 years old when I rode a burro down the mountainside trail in Bryce Canyon NP; how that burro stayed on the trail, I don't know. Don Potter
