Lake MistletoeLake MistletoeLake Mistletoe

Didn't see any mistletoe, but I'm not sure it looks the same here. I saw a chart today that showed it with red flowers.
We headed north along the shores of Lake Te Anau (not that you can see it, theres always trees in the way!) and over the pass to the Sound. On the way we stopped for walks at various lakes, waterfalls and view points. We took lots of photos because it was a sunny day and the mountains are huge and spectacular, but I'll include ones of us. The road goes through a long tunnel under the biggest hills, and there are traffic lights, so you can have quite a wait there. And when you get to the end, its an absolute dead end, except for the aSound, and you have to come back 120k to Te anau - and thats not the hub of the universe!!

What a fabulous photo of the reflection of the mountains in the lake.
