yesterday, i witnessed one of the strangest weather experiences i've ever seen!

i walked out of my apartment in the morning and the sky was really dark and heavy... it's difficult to explain! and it was throwing it down with rain but it didn't feel like normal rain! some of the teachers at school explained to me that every year they experience "yellow rain" - a mix of sand and toxic dust from China's Gobi Desert! the dry weather and seasonal winds bring the dust over korea and japan, which i guess only heighens tension between the countries! school children in south korea had a day off school because some people can become ill after breathing it in, but sadly we didn't have the luxury of a day off in japan!

i've only got a few more weeks left in japan and it's really hard to think about saying goodbye to my students, teachers, friends and japan itself. this week is the last week of classes as they have exam preparation next week and then their graduation on the 14th. i'm sure it will be a very impressive and moving ceremony if past events are anything to go by!

so, it's a scary and exciting time for me right now... what do i do with the rest of my life?! hmmm... any suggestions?! - please send your answers on the back of a postcard!

Hi you look so pretty in the photos and getting dressed sounds like when I got married being pampered not the extra padding as I showed off my curves. I can't believe you will be coming home soon, I suggest you come back to us but work with the older kids because then I would see and work with you again. We wouldn't have enough festivals for you though, what about a different country or could you go back there again. Be careful with toxic dust around we don't want you turning green. Make the most of your time there, have fun love helen xxx
