High above the clouds!
Well, there weren't any clouds. This picture is overlooking Sydney in the direction of Circular Quay. You can see the Bridge to the left and the Opera House to the right. G'day mates! Happy Mardi Gras!
Today is my "early" Mardi Gras edition. The Parade doesn't start until 7:30pm (3:30am EST), so I thought I would add some pictures in the mean time. There will be a "late" Mardi Gras edition later on, so keep an eye out!
Today I dared to climb the heights of the Sydney Tower. I'm not big on heights, but the admission was included with my Aquarium ticket, so I thought, what the heck. I only stayed at the top for a few minutes to snap a couple of pictures and quickly got on the "lift" to go back down to the base. Then I went on Oz trek. Pretty touristy film about the "Down Under" in four different languages. The seats moved and it was sort of like virtual reality. I felt a bit nauseous afterwards though.
Then I took a long walk from the Opera house, through the Botanical Gardens, Potts Point, and into Woolloomooloo (say that a few times fast). Finally walking through King's Cross and back to my hotel in Darlinghurst where the radio has been playing Kylie Minougue and Madonna non-stop - go figure! I hope you enjoy the
Anzac Bridge
