Enjoying every day of Cambodia . We made Siem Reap in 5 hours by bus from Phnom Penh where we stayed only a night and will return in few days. Although it is Chinese new year, we could find a good guest house, Golden Banana B&B free internet available.

We were dreaming for years to see Angkor. At last we did it. We got three days entrance ticket 40 USD each. Actually two days might be optimum but the tickets are for one , three and seven days. The temples ( most of them ruins) are constructed about thousand years ago, 7-10 km from the town and are widely spread over a vast forest. It is a beautiful park area where you feel peacefull. This area has been announced as world herritage site by Unesco.

We got a tuk tuk to Angkor. The first and main temple is Angkor Wat. It has been dedicated to the Hindu God Vishnu. We visited Angkor Wat at 05:30 in the morning to catch the sun rise. Many visitors do the same.

Visitors are partly interested in the architecture, history and the soul of the temples but when it comes to Ta Prohm

Temple everybody is only interested to take photograps by the giant roots of silk-cotton trees. We did the same.

The town is beautiful. We pass the time at open side walk cafes like Red Piano, Kamasutra Fine Indian, The Soup Dragon and Ivy Bar having beer or dinner. Especially young local people are joyfull and smiling.

We will be going to Phnom Pehn tomorrow and we’ll continue to Vietnam on 14th Feb.
We already missed you all.
