So damn hot..
And I can't even put my feet in the water, because of the stingers... Feeling rather dispondent after the constant sweltering heat and not being able to have a paddle in the sea, we decided to head for the hills..............
People had told us the Tablelands were cooler -
But they were wrong!!!! However, we found we could at least have a dip in the icy streams and waterfalls to cool us down.....
On the edge of the Wooroonooran National Park we saw a few tree kangaroos (arrrrr), but they were so skittish we didn't manage to take a picture of them.
Ended up doing the worst journey ever around Lake Tinaroo, 20klms of unsealed roads (more like a battle ground) Potter did us proud yet again, but we were shaken to death and glad when it was finally completed.
Spent a few days there, searching out waterfalls and doing forest walks before heading back to the coast.....
