wow, okay, try to imagine the MOST beautiful wedding you could ever be apart of, and then multiply it by ten. First off, the hotel we were staying at, Casa Santo Domingo, was unreal. Antigua itself is beautiful, but the hotel was out of this world. There were parrots just hanging out and the flowers were beautiful and there were probably thousands of candles that were all lit; it was amazing. There ceremony was beautiful, i was able to get a shot of the altar but not too much beyond that due to the thousand person guest list.

The reception was a PARTY. A friend of my cousin Veronica tried to teach me some Spanish dance moves, but it went horribly. Then I had a little bit of a similar experience at the disco, only without the stumbling or ice-cube. I really started wondering why I seem to be going crazy at these things and it hit me: I really do not drink rum. With that in mind, I will certainly stay away from the stuff. Captain Jack Sparrow, it's all yours. The next morning there was a beautiful wedding brunch and then we came back to Maria Olga's house.
Mr. and Mrs. Lee!Mr. and Mrs. Lee!Mr. and Mrs. Lee!

Maria Andrea and Richard coming down to the reception
Last night everybody was pretty exhausted, so we called it an early night after having gone out to dinner.

So today I'm having lunch at my cousin Richard's house and then meeting up with the rest of the kids in my program. Staying with Maria Olga and the rest of my cousins has been AMAZING. their generosity and kindness has been so much more than I could ever have asked for. But after living the gorgeous life for a couple of days, i'm ready to get down and dirty.

Bring it Quetzaltenango (aka Xela), bring it

now that the wedding's over, you'll really be "living a vida loca", or whatever Ricky Martin used to sing. Good luck!
