You can't come to Oz,
and not come to the zoo.This was another of our must do's, when we first started talking about going to Oz.
We wanted to see Steve Irwin the crocodile hunter in action - But as you all know he is no longer with us.
This did not deter us... There was a need to get close up and personal with a few animals, particually a wombat which neither of us have ever seen.
And one burning question to be answered
"Why was our koala bear brown"? So here we were travelling along Steve Irwin Way, heading for Australia Zoo.
Needless to say we weren't disappointed.
"Skim" was over joyed to get a close up of a kookaburra and finally see a wombat. (It looked like an over grown guinea pig to me)
And the icing on the cake was to see Terri Irwin doing the croc show in the crocoeseum - See her in action on the video...
