crossing the Nullabor

Hi all, we have been out of range for about 6 days and have seen alot. We passed through Esperance quickly, very busy there. We travelled out toCape Arid National Park and had a very nice private little camping spot. Out came the Solar Shower and the army rations of red wine.
Stayed here 2 days.

At Cape Arid mum made us go on a big walk it was so hot.
Mum got so sun burnt on her legs they were really red.
The day after that we weent on a four wheel drive track made of sand, rocks, mud and corrugations.
2 hours and we only went 50 km
Crossing the nullabor was so boring it took 7 hours to get to the first camping groung called cocklebiddy.

Next day drove to Eucla, checked out the old telegraph Stn, had lunch, drove to Nundroo and set up camp again. We went wombat spotting at night, found lots of wombat burrows no wombats.

Finally made it across the nullabor and arrived in Ceduna, drove onto Streaky Bay. No camp sites available anywhere so drove to Baird Bay. Not much there had the whole camp ground to ourselves.

Yesterday we went to Point Labatt to see the only colony of breeding sea lions on the Australian Mainland and looked at Talia Caves, very cool.

Today we are in Eliston, have met up with Sue and Brad Edwards from Manjimup and thier friends from Alice Springs and spent the night here last night. The Boys have gone out in the boat fishing. HMMMMM
so far all we have been doing is feeding the fish, maybe thier luck will change today, I have back up supplies of tin Braised Steak and Onions!

I wish I could come to your birthday but I will send you a card.We stayed at a nice beach with big waves and I got dunked, and did a rolly polly under the water. We went to a Brewery where beer was made a long time ago and it was under the ground in tunnels and it was very dark in there. There was no beer there anymore dad was sad!Love from Kassidy!XOXOXO

Hi there the great travellers
Hope all is well on the road ....and that Mrs Chris has replenished the emergency rations of wine so every one is happy. Macca had a great birthday and still has in the fridge some cake for Kassidy cos he is sure she will be back today tonight mum??? He has his surgery next Friday and we are all looking forward to getting all that out of the way. Geordie has changed jobs and only goes away for one week on and one off so life in the windy gully is a whole lot happier. Looking forward to the next update on your great adventures.
