Well, we didn't make it to the the temples today, but spent a lovely day at the botanical gardens, more interesting than you may at first think and a nice relaxing day in the sun. Saw lots of fruit bats and monkeys, and a tree called a 'sausage tree'. The clue is in the name. Look forward to lots of pictures of orchids, yay 😊 feeling a bit tired though after 3 days of lots of walking but tomorrow we are detemined to tackle the three temples, a minimum of 71/2 kilometers walk. And then we are going to takle Adams peak the day after, we are gluttons for punishment! We visited the History Restaurant tonight and I finally had 'rice and curry'. I have to find a good sri lankan restaurant when i get home or i am likely to have withdrawal symptoms, the food is amazing although there was too much of it, feel very guilty leaving food here. The restaurant has photos from as far back as 1880 on the walls and does a bit of a slide show while you are eating, really interesting it also has lovely views across the lake. Also today, Eve bought a whole wardrobe of indian stylie clothes so look forward to some fashion shows when she gets home 😊 Went to watch some fabulous kandyan dancing last night, lots of drums, saris and walking over hot coals ... ow. Was good fun and a good way to spend a couple of hours.
Think i'm going to get a nice early night now to rest for an early start tomorrow. hope you are all well and recovering from overdoses of turkey and chocolate.

Hi Both, lovely to read about your holiday, sounds like you are having a fab time. We are all feeling fat and lazy after the Christmas festivities, Gemma you were missed by everyone, they all send there love and wish you a lovely holiday.
