My crab legs!
Hello again!
Well, all I can say is that Cancun does actually live up to it´s reputation! Personally I´d hate to be here during spring break, but you don´t need to be when every night is party night here! The apartment I´m staying at is great! A fantastic location overlooking Cancun and the lagoon and I´ve got a one bedroom apartment with full views, top room of the place! Happy days! You will see I´m not lying from the photos! 😊 We instantly got into our cozzies and hit the pool area for a short time before returning to get dolled up for our first night in Cancun! Dangerous stuff! We decided to treat ourselves first so went for dinner at the Crab House. It´s actually a hell of a lot classier than the name suggests and we sat out overlooking the lagoon feasting on crab. The waiters couldn´t do enough for us and at one point we had four of them doing things around the table. Every restaurant we have been to here has a manager who wanders around just making sure everyone is happy, so we had the opportunity to tell him how much we loved our meal which

of course we did! After the lovely meal, we headed to Senor Frogs. For those of you not in the know (I wasn´t before I went) it wouldn´t surprise me if Senor Frogs was the scene of many a crazy drunken night during spring break. I´ve never seen anything like it! We arrived a bit early for all the action which wasn't the best as we were seated up close to the stage and at that point were the only two single females there under forty and within minutes we were being wrapped up in police line tape by the staff..... The aim of Senor frogs seems to get everyone plastered and then put them in an environment to really make a fool of themselves, particularly the females!!! Once there were more people at the place I began to enjoy myself more and was even up dancing on the bar. No, I was sober at the time and was actually physically placed there so felt like a fool but no one seemed to care. There were conga lines and free tequila shots galore and Sarah even had a go on the waterslide but was unaware that she'd come out into

Getting into the spirit!
the lagoon after a three metre drop. It was a funny place and definitely worth a visit, just not every night! From there we headed to Coco Bongo which has a Vegas kind of theme with flying trapeze, dancers and a show all above the dancefloor area. I've never seen anything quite like it!!! So amazing to watch!!! We ended up having a late night, but as they say, when in Cancun.....! The next day we lounged by the pool and headed into town for some more shopping before heading out again for Sarah's last night before she headed home. This time we found another lovely restaurant where again the staff couldn't do enough for us and then headed into another bar called the Congo. This bar was a little more relaxed than the previous night's, but there were still conga lines, balloons and shots involved. Cancun does not appear to be the kind of place you are allowed to sit for a quite drink!!!! So of course we got involved with the fun as you can see from some of the photos. The next morning Sarah headed home 😞 and I pretty much spent the day by the pool.

Sarah at the end of the waterslide....
Today I've had another lazy day by the pool, but have headed into town for an early dinner. I'm leaving Cancun this saturday for Cuba. Am really looking forward to it, but am also really enjoying kicking back in Cancun. The Mexicans are so friendly! I know this is a tourist town, but everyone I've come across is very happy to help and they get the australian sense of humour. I'm currently feeling very relaxed which is good given I'm spending next week cycling... that should be interesting!!!! Thanks for all the comments and private messages, some are very amusing!!! I'm hoping to be able to write again next week from Cuba but have heard that the internet is very unreliable there so may not be able to until I hit Costa Rica.
Hope all is well!
