Well, woke up in the land down under...to a lot of rain! What a bummer. But, that wasn't going to keep us inside....all day.

So up and at 'em we went. Breakfast at the hotel, then walked around town for a while. I think a mixture of the rain and a tuesday morning - it was pretty quiet around town. Walked through Circular Quay, up to the Botanical Gardens, and down to the Opera House. Got some rain pictures and all.

Then caught the 11AM ferry to Manly Beach where we met a colleague that Dan knows from work - Dr. Neil. Met up with Dr. Neil and his partner and went to a lovely little restaurant for lunch on the beach. Watched the surfers and beach dwellers over a prawn salad, fish & chips, and interesting conversation. Was a nice little lunch - but they had to get back to work. So Dan and I walked around the beach a bit more - and oddly enough, ran in a girl he knows from Microsoft, on holiday with her boyfriend. Small, small world.

Headed back on the Ferry about 3 o'clock, then just meandered and entertained ourselves. Until

it started raining again.

So what to do on your honeymoon with a gorgeous hotel room then head back for some cuddle time (awwww...). And to our surprise, we were greeted in the room with a lovely vase of flowers from Sandy & Zoe Hone - Mike's parents. Since we got to Sydney, Mike has been working his butt off - in Seattle - to get us some company and look after us. I think he has tried to pimp each family member on us - unfortunately, no one was around and since we didn't have much time it didnt work out - but Mike, you are awesome anyways!

Then dinner at 8 at Rockpool - courtesy of my lovely, beautiful, intelligent maid of honor & sister, Bari. What a restaurant and what a meal. Thank you!!! Left there very full, very drunk and very happily content.

Kris told us how she called these dump birds. Although they are so pretty and grand looking, over the years they have just used that long beak to learn how toget into the garbage!
