Sister Ama and Baby YawSister Ama and Baby YawSister Ama and Baby Yaw

He is very sweet. Eats and Sleeps doesn't even cry when he's hungry. You just see the little "birdie mouth" lookin for something to get ahold of.

Sister Ama and Baby Yaw are both doing very well. Born 3am on November 1st, Yaw is very fair in color and a very good baby thus far. As Dalmatians are born white and their spots appear later, often times the Africans/blacks are the same - the color comes later. Forgive me for comparing him/them to a dog. But if you know me even just a little, you know I am the ultimate animal lover. "Yaw" is the Ashanti Tribe’s cultural name for every boy born on Thursday. There will be a “Christian name” (Robert, Daniel, Michael etc) added later when it has been decided upon. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Something we haven't done before! Kirk, Praise and I had a wonderful time at the coast last week. We took a real vacation with no obligations attached. Praise has always loved the pool. With the addition of water wings he has gained much confidence in the water.
On our second day we went out to watch the fishermen pull in their nets. I don’t know which job entails more hard physical labor, farming or fishing. It takes hours to bring their nets in. Along with the

This great invention of old still does the trick. Praise has much more confidence in the deeper water. He's even trying to swim without holding onto anybody.
common silver colored, regular kind of fish, within the nets were found sea snakes, eels, jelly fish, barracuda and even a little star fish. Kirk and I tried our best to throw back into the ocean the creatures that were rejected and just tossed aside by the fishermen. It was great fun. Maybe this Christmas we’ll ditch the gifts and take Praise, Kwabena and Agnes to the beach for a few days.

Thank you for your faithful comments! They let me know you're out there and keeps this a two way relationship.
Have a Great Week
Christine

I just love watching these guys bring in their nets. They have little sing-songs they do to encourage themselves and pass the time. Opening the net is like Christmas - you don't know what you might find.

So glad to hear that Ama and Yaw are doing fine. I enjoy your posts so much! You lead a life very rich in relationships, something more difficult for us to focus on when living with all the distractions of wealth and technology.
