Khao San Road

Hi all
We have arrived ! After a long journey we landing in Thailand at their new airport. Determined to go it alone he confidently headed for the shuttle bus. After several mins pacing up and down the concorse we found our free bus. As expected it took us to the airport bus station but after enquiring at the information there were no airport express routes to the city! Opps. We then managed to find a mini bus to the informous Khao San Road. PLEased with ourseleves we hopped on the bus after a 1 pound fare!
After about an hour the driver confidently told us to get off as we had reached our destination. Well we didnt know that ! After a bit of spacing up and down the street we got into a tuk tuk and said where we wanted to go.
He smiled.
We crossed the road and were dropped the other side - 40 baht lighter!!!!
No worries. We have found our hotel and have enjoyed the street markets. Now very tired and off to rest.
We plan to go to the Royal palace tomorrow then off to Cambodia.
Im sure more stories will follow!
