Still can't realize that I'm in Russia. Have been here for two days now. The flight went allright and also the pass port/visa control that I was a bit worried about. Got my luggage pretty fast and felt that this was going a bit too easy. But that sorted itself out when my pick-up from the hostel got 3 hours late because of the traffic. 3 hyours on Moscow airports arrival hall isn't very exciting I can tell.

But eventually it came and about the same time Larissa with the next flight from Sweden so we could leave. The driver was a russian guy who actaully speeks very good English so we had a very nice ride to the hostel. I tried my Russian for the first time to a Russian and got to hear that it's awful.. But I'm not given up. Been trying to talk to people in Restaurants and on the streets and I can actaully make myself a little bit understood.

When we got to the hostel it was allready 11.30 pm so we just hd a beer with Victor, the driver, and two girls wokring at the hostel and then went to bed. Yesterday we got up pretty early to do some real sigthsing. Went to the red square to see the military parade that was due on 12 o'clock but after stadning outside the gates freezing for an hour we gave up when nothing had started at one.

Went down in the beautiful metro instead to go to a theatre trying to get tickets for the night's performance, The Swan lake. The women selling the tickets didn't get a single word of English but we managed to get two tickets. Good seats and not overcharged for once!

After some underground sightsing to see some of the most beautiful stops, we got back to the hostel to have a very short rest before going out for dinner. Had Borscht, a Russian soup, at a very nice and cheap restaraunt and then though we had good time to get to the theatre. But after standing outside 'talking' to one of the guys working there, didn't get much of was he was saying but he did't give up, we got in a really hurry and had to run through metro stations and to the theatre. Got there in time but looking awful. Wearing real back packer/-clothes and all sweaty when others was dressed up for a fancy night out.

The performance was amazing! Now get why mum and dad so badly wanted me to dance balet when I was younger. The costumes, music, dancers.. Just absolutely wonderful. Me and Larissa walked out of the thatre with the biggest joy and satisfaction. One of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.

After a good night's sleep we got up today and decidec to go in to Kremlin with an Enlgish and a Canadian girl from the hostel. Went in to some churches, strolled aound and then went to a chocolate factory. Didn't understand if we could go in or not so we ended up just buying some chocolate. I bought one pice of chocolate for 20 Rubels (4 kronor).

After walking around the whole day we are now back at the hostel to have a rest before going out for some food.

Tomorrow we will try to get to a travel agency to get our train-tickets.

So, Erik most of all, Moscow is a very nice city. Most people are very friendely and try to help you as much as they can. It's not as expensive a s I thought but a lot colder.

Will try to add some photos later.

Take care everyone
