Macau to singapore

Just got off the MRT....Just got off the MRT....Just got off the MRT....

Now which way do we go?

Arrived in Singapore on the anniversary of the day we met...
Didn't think we'd be doing this 8 years ago!!!

It was the early hours of the morning,
the MRT didn't start to run until 6am.

We found a coffee shop in the airport and settled down to a steaming mega large coffee,
and a equally large warm double choc muffin.........
(Decent coffee for a change!!!)

After weeks of rice, noodles and the odd burger.
It was like we'd died and gone to heaven!!!

MRT was easy to figure out.
We bought the ez link card, works out cheaper and covers bus journeys too.

We headed for the Frankel Hostel, which wasn't differcult to find.
And were soon checked in and pushing out a few Zzzzzzz....

A few hours later .......

We checked out the area, it had clean streets and blue skies all the way.
Makes a lovely change, from what we'd got used to...

It didn't take us long to figure out,
that you have to go through
Our RoomOur RoomOur Room

Has all we need including sqeaky beds, washing machine (33p a load includes soap powder) and rules!!!
massive shopping malls to get to where you wanted to go.

Singapore is reknowned for it's malls, some of which are open 24 hours....

One of the biggest shopping areas is "Bugis Village".
It just goes on and on, from shopping mall, to market stalls then street market.....
(Our daughters would love it)

Tourists are catered for well here,
there is an abundance of information, as well as maps free of charge...

Enjoy our first couple of days......
