Shame it's smoggy!!!

In the early hours, we passed through the locks at "3 Gorges Dam".
It took about 4 hours for the boat to get through it.....
We watched and took pictures, as we went through the first set of locks.
But then had to give up, through tiredness.
(These organised tours are pretty intensive and you seem to be on the go all the time!!)

After a 7.15am breakfast and having bid farewell to some of our new friends who were catching early planes.
We were taken to visit the 3 Gorges Dam.

The day was hot and smoggy (as usual) - And we came here looking for a bit of fresh air!!!
Obviously the photos are not of the best.
(Because of the Dam smog!)

We were then taken back on board, to finish our packing.....

Had an early lunch, with loads of food for a change!
But there were only David and Eisha (honeymooners) and us left on our table!!!
So loads of food left over.....

After our mega filling lunch, we

Shame you can't see it!!!
said our goodbyes......

When we disembarked, we were suprised to see dragons and a band.
They gave us a great send off.
(That wasn't mentioned in our daily agenda)

Managed to fight our way through the usual "2 for a dollah" crowd.
(You tend to meet these people at all touristy places)

Our driver took us straight to the bus station in Yichang.
(Managed to get out of the shopping tour she tried to take us on)
She then helped us to purchase a ticket for Wu Han.

Turns out she'd booked a luxury coach at £8 each for the 4 hour journey!!!!
Not a lot of money, but we could have done it for a lot less using the local buses...

The luxury coach though, was welcomed.
Had air con, T.V and comfortable recliner seats.
We soon drifted into the land of nod...
Catching up on the sleep, that we didn't get the night before!!!!

Will catch you all next time in Wu Han and don't forget to check out our photos!!!
