Went home after my last post and my roommate was not there, although it was already 11:30pm. Packed my bags for the Inca Trail and finally went to sleep. Woke at 4am to find her still not there. Got very worried and went to reception, where I was told she was probably at some party. I did not believe this as I didn't think my roommate was that kind of person, and she had never stayed out so late before, but I returned to bed anyway, fully expecting to have to raise some kind of alarm in the morning. It turns out the receptionist was right---my roommate was out dancing till 5:30am. Would have been nice if she could have told me beforehand... Then her father kept calling, but she had left the room again and I had no idea where she was. The father rang so much that the receptionist came to my room especially to make me answer the phone, which was a pain because I couldn't get anything done. This man kept calling and calling and his daughter just wasn't there.

At breakfast I got worried again, because apparently the Danish guy in the tour group had been bitten by a dog. This dog had been hassling the midget sitting next to me at the internet cafe the previous night, and I was worried it might have rabies. He wasn't worried though, and didn't bother getting shots. Well, I guess he is not foaming at the mouth yet.
