Pan flute player #1
Pan flute player in Valle de la Luna We had a Sunday to spare and decided to see something different to the city, shopping and restaurants. Despite Lonely Planets descriptions of the place as being overhyped the choice fell on Valle de la Luna. After a short walk along one of the city creeks we made the last part of the 10 km trip by Taxi, and arrived ready to explore the small fenced nature park. A 15 Bs (1,50 Euro) entrance fee was paid and we started our walk. No doubt how this place got its name. Valle de la Luna or Moon Valley in English sure looks like what you would expect to find on the moon (except for a few cactuses that is). Shortly after the entrance the trail split. A sign explained that the trail to the right would take 15 minutes and the one on the left 45 minutes. We went left and spend more than an hour walking, taking photos and enjoying the views. I my eyes Valle de la Luna is a great easy to reach escape from the city. The best of it all was the pan flute player playing in the park, what a great sound.
