The plane trip was long, very, very long, but thai airways are fantastic i got 2 full meals each section of the flight, good food! first dinner i chose red lamb curry and i got 2 salads i also got fresh fruit later & they give you little hot towels to refresh yourself with as well so it was pretty good.

I arrived at 7am yesterday (friday) but it took me 2 hours to get through the passport screening - an american flight landed at the same time as mine. Poor stu was worried because it usually doesn't take that long and he rang nige to see that i got on the plane okay. Thanks Stu!!!! I eventually called him & caught the tube & met up with him, we went back to his place which is in Fullham, & then he went to work, i ate pizza and went sleep from 12:30 until 5pm when he called me so we could go grab dinner. I caught the tube to blackfriars, i was meant to go to chancery lane but there was an announcement saying that a bag had been left unattended so trains to there were delayed! but all is god, no bombs went off. Stu says thats really common, and doesn't necessarily mean a terror threat

We went to the blackfriars pub which is mostly outside i drank 3/4 of a pint of 1664 beer, which was pretty good we sat there 4 ages people watching 😊 and then we went walking, over blackfriars bridge and then besides the thames i could see the royal courts of justice, we picked an italian spot for dinner we had a brushetta entree with tomatoes and i had mussel risotto, with white wine, chill & garlic sauce & we had a bottle of red wine, we then walked across westminster bridge, i saw the big ben (although sadly its under repair at the moment, so i don't get to see it go off, and westminster abbey all light up, they were beautiful, it is kind of weird being in a place i have only seen in movies & post cards.

Every now & then i have moments where i go this is for real, i am actually on the other side of the world, right now its 8:23pm saturday night back home, and its 11:23am here saturday morning. Im pretty rested up right now & feeling pretty good i had about 9.5 hours sleep last night so all is good on the jet lag front, its amazing how exhausted you get.

Today we are off to Canden, its meant to be a bit of an eccentric part of town, so that should be fun! Then tonight, Stu was invited to drinks with a friend, and i also got invited! So we are going to the Swayy 😊

i leave early in the morning to fly to Madrid!! so thats all for now, talk to you soon!
