Tans fading fast!

Settling in to city life. Living alongside the rich and famous in South Yarra, so we fit in well! Been doing the tourist thing, prior to our search for work. We went along to the “Amazing Human Body Exhibition” in the Docklands for a biology lesson and advice on food and alcohol consumption. All of the exhibits were real human bodies and dissected body parts, put James right off his lunch! We also visited the Pixar Animation Exhibition in Federation Square (we’re kids at heart). It might be the middle of winter but we braved the beach down at St Kilda, stopping to enjoy a cake in one of their many bakeries. There is a massive coffee culture out here, so my decaf diet is over, sure it won’t harm me.

Making the most of the nightlife, that was slightly lacking in Tewkesbury. Spent Saturday night on a bar safari around the centre, using our bar deck of cards. Also went to the local cinema to see Die Hard 4, very realistic! Nearly upgraded to the gold class, reclining seats, private screen, dinner and bubbly, maybe next time? They also have the largest casino outside of Vegas here; I wouldn’t say it was as good as Vegas, yet we managed to waste a few dollars (and hours) there.

James is struggling to control my spending; the shopping is just too good. Lack of gym membership is starting to take its toll, purchased a fit ball to try and counter the effects.

Still plenty to see and do including Neighbours night! We are off to our first AFL game tomorrow night, Melbourne v Western Bulldogs at the Telstra Dome. Sat in row C so bound to get hit by the ball. Not sure about the rules, or even which team to support, but sure we will enjoy.

Starting the search for work, since plan to stay here until at least mid November. James has signed on with an agency to undertake casual relief teaching, starts Monday! I am still working on my CV!
