Folkestone life

Folkestone is the town where Jen and John have their marvellous house. and I do mean MARVELLOUS. My room is at the top of the house, with a nice view, including the sea in the distance. Ah, the smell of the sea - lovely! Plus the beach is only about 50 metres away from the house, if that! Plus my room has a gorgeous slanted ceiling. Its just too adorable for words! The rest of the house is equally gorgeous, except for the stairs that go with it, but i'm hoping the stairs will result in my butt and legs looking fabulous (hey, a girl can dream and live in hope!).

You first walk in to the parlour and lounge room. A set of stairs directly in front takes you up to the bathroom. Up another half stairs is to a level with two bedrooms (one of them JJs). up another two half flights is my level, with another room and a little loft area.
Back to the entry level and from there, is another little area behind the upward stairs, which is where the computer is. Down a full flight of stairs is the kitchen and dining room, plus the laundry and another bathroom. Plus the back door, which leads on to a cute little courtyard, complete with vege and herb patch and a great little garden (stocked with sweet peas - my faves!).

Quite simply, its gorgeous. Oh, have I mentioned I think the house is gorgeous? I think I need a new word!
On top of that, Folkestone is quite the little gem as well. Yes, yes, its far from London, but who cares? Its by the sea (not the ocean, but hey, semantics), its got loads of rolling green (and the occasional purple) fields, cute sheep, quaint little streets and shops and its just lovely! OK, so its also a little bit country (with all that goes with that word), but the good totally outweighs the bad!

I'm quite smitten with this little town and have already told JJ that they may never get rid of me!
Of course there's the little thing of finding work, but I've been a bit busy with Jen the past week, doing house holdy stuff, meeting her lovely family (and they really are. Very nice and very welcoming) and yes, getting my hair cut and doing a spot of shopping! So honestly, with all of that, I'm sure I can concentrate on getting a job next week! Seriously though, Jen starts work next week, so I'll have the time to dedicate to seriously job hunting. Or else I'll just enjoy not working and not travelling for a while!!

At any rate, all is going really well and I've felt wonderfully welcomed and at home since my arrival.
Of course, I miss you all terribly.....

yowser!
What a beautiful/ lovely/ fab place is Jen and John's. Looks like they are the hosts with the mosts. The haircut is sensational as seen via email. Good luck with the job hunt, sure you will have no problem as soon as you can tear yourself away from other adventures. xS
