I'm only drinking this to make Indge and Chuck jealous.

Went to Darling Harbour this weekend to meet up with the friend, Steve, who's taking us up in his plane next month. After much persuading, I was talked into drinking the odd Guinness or two in the beautiful winter sunshine in a very nice bar with stunning views over the dock towards the city. It was just like the Adam and Eve, but without the sticky tables.

The flight he's got planned is going to be something else: he'll pick us up at Camden airstrip and fly us east, over the National Park, then north along the coast to Sydney Harbour, then all around there to see all there is to see, before continuing north to Manly and all the northern beaches, up to the Hawkesbury River and then back south again to Camden. Should take about an hour and a half and will take in everything there is to see for miles around. Can't imagine there's a better trip in the world than that! Just got to hope for good weather now - been a tad stormy of late, we were really lucky on Saturday - but I guess the odds are higher of blue skies here than most.

See, told you it was just like the Adam and Eve.

Saw my first parrot the other day. It was nearly dusk, so the light wasn't great, but it was red and green and had a long tail, so I guess that's what it was. Either that or they have bloody funny looking bats out here. Might be heading for the coast this weekend all being well. Not sure where just yet, but it's bound to be good from what everyone has said.

Going to have a paddle no matter how cold it is.

What you can't hear is the American band playing Fred Dibnah's theme tune in the background. They followed it up with 'English Country Garden' for the record.
