A huge house!
Session 1 has began and the campers, who are only between 6 and 9 years old, are here just until Saturday (today is thursday! 2 days to go! yay!) They have been here since Sunday.

I had my 24 hours off (6pm - 6pm) on monday night until tuesday night. One the the counsellors, Allie, lives 40mins from here in Pennsylvania. So, after an eventful trip to a pizza place, we went and chilled at her house for the night.

Now, more about that pizza place! The american don't just make pizzas...they make pizza pies! These things are huge! each slice is the size of a dinner plate, and it consists of 6 slices!

Pat and I wernt aware of this at the time, and wondered why the American girls were just ordering a slice..we ordered a whole 'pie' ...each!

The waitress..a typical 18 year old american girl obsessed with english guys, was in shock when we ordered it..and that was after she got over the shock of 2 english men in a local..and i mean LOCAL cafe!

we got through them, well...half a slice was left...but it was impressive, if i do say so

The waitress then asked..and i quote..."do you have phones in England?!" She corrected herself by meaning to ask, what is the format of the phone numbers...but it was amusing!

So we then headed off to Allie's and her parents had bought chilled bottles of beer just for Pat and I..so we jumped in the hot tub, which was outside (yes, you read it right...HOT TUB!) and sipped the beers..it was heaven!

The next morning we went to the local mall, met up with some of Allie's friends and I spent $200 on clothes (£100) Pat, however, spent $500!

We were back at camp by 5pm and normal life resumed

Today, Thursday, we took the kids to the beach...as it's a little illegal to post pictures of kids on the net without parents permission...i'll just put up a picture of the counsellors chilling!

This Saturday, when we have the afternoon and evening free, we are heading to a local New Jersey bar..should

Glad you are having a great time Markus. Although I am positive that the sentiment is not recipricated, we are missing you in Thanet! Great pictures. If you don't become a teacher you should be a travel writer, your blogs are very well written. Take care. Andrew
