Hi again
Well it hasn't been too long this time. So there should really be no complaints.
So we have now finished work. Sunday was officially our last day. Was pretty much a normal work day...... Anyways we did meet the new couple who are replacing us. They seem quite nice.
So as is now tradition we played our last ever game of Sunday cricket. The car park was actually pretty full with the new couple and one of the locals joining in. The first official bit of damage to the hotel was done. Sunil managed to break one of the loft windows. It was always gonna happen one day. Funny how it was the day when we had all been drinking.........
Anyways cricket finished once again when the balls were lost or broken. A short lived football (soccer) match was played which left all the boys hot, sweaty and stinky. Eventually we decided to go inside. Sunil and Kushal surprised us and had a dinner prepared. A curry from Kushals home region. Very yummy. Much better than the pizza we had intended on ordering.
We pretended to watch a movie which hardly anyone paid
attention to. Drank more and eventually made our way to the bar to include Harry. (someone had to work) Anyways the drinking and crap talking continued into the night/early morning and we eventaully got to bed sometime after 2am.
Next morning was a slow one. Packing and cleaning is not fun after only a few hours sleep. Anyways we had our lunch said our goodbyes and came back to London. Back to our £50 a night box of a room with no ensuite bathroom. (we had it good at the Whyte Harte)
So yesterday we had a bit of a splurge and bought some Wimbeldon tickets. The weather forecast looked ok and as we walked up to grounds the sun was shining. A few games into our first match and the rain started. The covers came out. And then it stopped. And then it started. and then it stopped. The first game we watched was a women's singles between the 16 year old who had been doing really well and the chick that beat her (I can't actaully remember their names - Tyson sort of remembers but spelling could be a problem) Anyways next after that one was
Lleyton Hewitt vs Canas. Was the end of the match only but still exciting. We managed to see the end of the set they were playing before the rain started again. Then it stopped. A few more points. Then more rain. You dont' realise just how long after the rain stops it then takes to get play started again. The covers come off. The court is set up again. The players are called. The players warm up. Then finally they start again. Takes about 20mins in total from when it stops raining.
So we eventually managed to get to the end of the match with Lleyton winning. YAY!!! Then the rain really started. we managed to get some cover while we had an expensive lunch. We then decided that since we had paid money for centre court tickets we should check out the Roddick match. We managed to see about 2 games of that one. (very impressive tennis) and then yes........ It rained. Apparently they then keep in contact with the weather service and even once it had stopped they still didn't start playing again as there was rain in the area.
They did get the covers off
again for a tiny bit but... it then stormed. Lightning the lot. That was pretty much the end of the day. So we didn't manage to get out moneys worth really but still had a good time. Somehow we also managed to get sunburnt. I sampled the strawberries and cream at £2 a go. Not to bad but I've had better.
So today was our last day in London/England. It also conincided with the final State of Origin match. We managed to find a Walk About Pub this time and had a few drinks and watched the game. Sucks that QLD lost but we one the series so that makes it a little easier to take. Poor Tyson had to make do with me to talk football with. I wasn't very helpful.
Anyways after that we ended up getting up to Madame Tussad's. Now that was cool. It's basically a wax museum with heaps of celebriteis and historical people made into wax statues. There is so much work go into it all. They look so life like. Unfortunately in the photo's you can't really see how real they do look. It's amazing. I got a photo with Robbie
which was quite cool.
Oh also have to mention our girls night out which we finallly went on at work. The 3 of us went out last Friday night into Croydon. It was an excellant night. Dinner, drinks and then finally dancing. We left the club at 4pm. Almost got followed by a crazy man who decided I was beautiful and wanted me to never leave him. (that was scary). That was also after meeting some very strange people in the club. And Emma suspecting her drink may have been spiked. A very interesting night. Heaps of Fun and wish we could do it again.
Well that's pretty much all that I have to add. Our contiki tour starts tomorrow at 6am. Tomorrow night we will be in Paris. How exciting!!!
Bye bye for now.
Will try to keep this updated.
Love to everyone.
Samantha and Tyson.

Wish he was real
Hey Sam, even a little bit of tennis is better than none. After seeing your photos with Johnny and Robbie. Johnnie definitely wins. He is gorgeous. Live it up in Paris. I leave today to got down to Katherine Gorge and walk with my friends to Edith Falls. It's 66km and we will do it in 5 days. I didn't realise how heavy food was. My pack is 13.5kg. Anyway hope to see you in September. Cheers Pam
