Abbey Elliott Well one of the longest days of our life began at a fairly leisurely pace. We sent a parcel home each after breakfast. We spent a little time on the net and had our last Speights beer and our last pie with tears in our eyes. We caught a shared minivan from the hostel to the airport in Auckland around lunchtime. Seemed to be a great day to be leaving New Zealand as it was lashing rain. After checking in and paying our airport tax (What is it with this side of the world and outrageous airport tax) we spent our (blog text lost from here)

I know what you mean about zoos that make you sad. don't ever go to the one in Lisbon, the elephants just shake their trunks from side to side looking miserable. Chris is going to Denmark this weekend. We're all getting Danish birds here. It's a new craze. Just thought I'd pop that one in.
