And it begins... I'm sitting here at LAX, wearing my Beatles shirt (purposely worn so I will feel like royalty when I get off in London), waiting for my flight , typing away at my ThinkPad which is hooked up to my Sprint phone which acts as a modem and listening to my mp3 player (I kinda miss the ipod nano’s sound quality, but I still can’t justify paying $200 for that, so I recently returned it). I just got a call from John (John Lee, one of my best friends who is also going to Europe but not through the same program) and he let me know that we probably won’t be able to meet up at the terminal before we fly out to London because my plane is about to board and he’s still on the 405.
I’m having mixed emotions as I type. I love L.A. I love it more than anyone I know, I’ll stand up for my city at almost any cost. So I will definitely miss this place. I also had to say goodbye to my roommates: Marita, Clay and Abe; as today was the last time I’d see them. To be frank, I’m kind of scared/worried, and it’s quite unusual of me to feel that way. Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited, but I’ve never flown to another country without knowing any of the people there.
For those of you cool/bored/awesome enough to read this entry, I promise, the following entries won’t be as dry as this one.
With that, YOU GIVE LOVE, A BAD NAME
