I apologize for not writing to you sooner. I think I am just starting to get somewhat used to things here three weeks in! Things have been quite a whirlwind ever since I began work. I would also say I am barely getting acclimatized to things. It is hotter than I ever could have imagined here.
Everything at Fabindia has been incredible thus far. The interns will be rotating through various departments. I began with the CEO, William Bissell, and as a result I have been able to dive into the inner workings of the company. It has been quite an education understanding how the company works, what its vision for the future is, and what I can do to help. The company is filled with friendly people who want to ensure that our stay in India is as pleasant as possible. In fact, William allowed us to stay at his moutain home in Landor this past weekend up in the foothills of the Himalayas. To see photos go

things to get adjusted to and I am just starting to get both my feet on the ground. I think i am receiving a cultural education on a daily basis. India is a fascinating place though, teaming with people (and so many young people!). Even in the "rural" areas I was blown away with how many people there were. It has been really interesting to get outside of Delhi and explore outside of the city as well. I feel like I am just barely brushing the surface of this culture. The religion, the people, I love the head waggle that people do where they kind of move their head side to side as a way to nod and say yes, but from my perspective it looks like they are saying no. here are a couple photos from delhi
here I hope you are all well and to write more soon. Please stay in touch!
Best,
Siobhan
