Hello everyone. I'm in Melaka, Malaysia. I checked out some of the museums here and am enjoying the weekend festival they are having here. I'm going to spend a few days here before heading back to KL for the start of my journey back to Boise. Melaka is a small port city in the south. There are quite a bit of tourists from Singapore here. I guess people from Singapore get the month of June off or something. The festival is packed with street vendors and tons of people. It's a great place to get a meal for 3RM (1USD). We're staying at a place called the Sama-Sama Guesthouse, which is great. It is clean and has a cool atrium in the center of the building. There are hammocks!!! It's a nice relaxing place to sit and meet other travelers. Everyone seems to be from a different country there. Some great conversations have been started between us. I hope everyone is doing well.

It sounds like you found the perfect time to drop your bags for a couple of days. Glad to hear you're having fun and meeting lots of new people. I always thought that was the best part of traveling - meeting new people. I can't wait to hear all the stories when you get back. Come visit on the East Coast if you have time later this year.

Special day on June 17th
Peter..I am so proud of our family...John heard from all our kids on Father's day. The world travelers were the last two...Jonathon got back from Columbia and you sent an email from Malaysia. Wow...what greater gift could a father want than to be remembered by all. Have a safe trip home. Love ya...Mom...and we enjoyed Father's Day Breakfast with Grandpa Jack...going on 96 years!

new job
Hey Pete - I interviewed with the Post Falls School District on Monday and will be a second grade teacher in the fall at Mullan Trail! I am so excited. This is the school where Micah and Charples Daniel will be students when they are in 1-5th grade. So, that also means I won't have this email address.
