Caught up with my moto rider outside the guest house at 7:00.

Today I had planned to do some of the temples just ouside the main centre of Angkor Thom.

Headed straight to Angkor and to the amazing Preah Kha temple. This is probably one of the best I've seen so far. Its really large and alot of the roofs are still intact. apparently it used to house 1000 teachers and was some sort of early university. Its a bit of a maze with many many vaulted corridors. Being here quite early was great as I was able to spend a fair amount of time and left just as two bus loads of tourists arrived.

Next on the list was the small but nice Preah Neak Pean, which consists of a large pond with a large stepped stupa positioned in the middle.

After a short amount of time at Preah Neak Pean I got a ride to the incredibly beautiful Pre Rup (all made from brick) a precurser to Angkor Wat. It was now getting stupidly hot but this didnt prevent me from taking loads of photos and spending a considerable amount of time wondering around.

Next was another temple forgotten the name now (infact getting very convused with all the odd names so will have to do further research later on to confirm) Very similar to Pre Rup but slightly more beautiful. Some of the Sandstone entrance cravings looked like they had just been done yesturday.

After an hour here it was now approximatly midday and I decided to head back into town. Not as intense as yesturday but still managed to get a lot done.

Back at the guest house I took a cold shower to cool off. Then headed out for lunch. Found an excellent place that did good pasta. Sat and spoke to some American Med student who was spending the summer working in the local hospital.

Later went and visited the Psar Chaa market. Alot of nice stuff but didnt get anything.

Went and spent some time doing emails and internet.

Got an ice cream and headed back to the guest house and relaxed abit.

That evening I headed out and found a bar/restaurant that I manged to persuade to show the Monaco GP and had dinner and a few beers while watching a presession of a race (although it was nice to see Mclaren get a one two.)

Headed back for an early night sleep as I was planning to get up for sun rise.

Be honest though - there hasn't been a race at Monaco since Mansell blew a tyre in the tunnel and spent the last 5 laps trying to wear Senna's gearbox as a hat.
