Day 4 (continuation):

After walking through Notre Dame, I took the L Open Bus Tour to see all the major sights via automotive means.

It still rained throughout the day, but I sat at the top of the double decker bus anyway. I didnt mind the rain.

I then got off at the Musèe de Louvre. Huge! I just wandered aimlessly. I almost forgot that Mona Lisa was there. Impressed? Not really. But there must be something there Im missing. I swear I saw a bunch of other portraits that smiled to "tempt a lover".

After hours of walking through the Louvre, I grabbed a latte (of all places, Starbucks) and sat outside on a stone bench with my bread and plethera of fromage (cheese) from the festival. The birds had a careful eye on my feast.

I hopped back on the bus and got off where I thought was home. I was so confident I knew where I was and kept right on walking...far, far away. I then stumbled upon this fancy dessert place with macarons! Yum.

Being the sorry 29 yr old, I took a nap and woke up bored. I then

At the top of the double decker bus
decided to go to the local jazz club where all the greats have performed. It was definitely a lot of fun. I met this group of young folks...a brother and sister, a parisian and another girl at the club. They weren't as welcoming as I would have liked but they talked to me nonetheless. I got separated from them as we climbed down the stairs because a pervy old man from NY was talking to me. But good thing because I met some fun Parisian women. They danced and drank. I just watched and declined a dance from a Parisian man. Me swing dance next to professionals? I don't think so. I had a lot of fun...stumbled back to the hostel at 2am.

This area was in the room below the main bar. It felt like a little cave with chairs and benches all around. The jazz singer and band were great. She was from Cincinnati, Ohio.
