Well we arrived in Cairns and we met up with Becky again (orginally from Surf camp for those of you who dont remeber) and the next day I flew to see Ben in Surfers Paradise for 5 days. It was really cool, I met some more Kieltys, always fun! and got fed and watered very nicely for the day! Unfortunately, I didnt get to meet the last Kilety in Brisbane, and I'm very dissappointed I have been unable to complete the set! lol! I also beat Ben at mini golf AND air hockey but I see he has neglected to put that in his blog! hmmm! After 2 days here we went to Brisbane where we attended our first Aussie rules match at the Gabba, it was awesome, partly becasuse at the end of the game, you can go onto the pitch and have a kick about! its mental, and Ben hit a child in the face twice! (he didnt mention that either i see!), luckily they were both fine! loL! And then after this we went to a seafood festival, which i think was just a piss up with fish and chips on the side! needless to say I

playing about on the pitch!didnt indulge in the fish! it was good and we saw a band called little birdie which were ok! (I will tell you more about this later on!).
After this I returned to Laura in Cairns, by which time Laurence had arrived, which was awesome to see him, I wont see him until he is home in October now either!! It rained pretty much the whole time I was in Cairns! But for dinner the first night we sat down at the empty table a the pub, and we had only sat next to one of the biggest bands in Aus: Eskimo Joe! They have number ones and sell out gigs out here and everything! We felt cool! lol! we also started talking to Little Birdies Manager! he was very excited that I had seen them just 2 days earlier! if they get big at home you will all be impressed then! ha ha!
In cairns we went on a boat trip to the reef, unfortnualtey it was a very choppy day on the sea and I was sick 4 times on the way there and 3 on the way back! not a good strart to the day
Crazy Fish Festival
This is the only photo where Ben didnt put his beer can in fornt of the lens! i must admit! we went on a glass bottom boat trip when we moored at this tiny little island and then got the chance to do an introductory dive, unfortunately, mainly because we jumped straight into the sea, I got freaked out by the sea and the breathing and came out straight away pretty much! but I still got to snorkle afterwards, and this was amazing ,it was so pretty, and there were these little fish that were really curious and kept trying to sniff us! we also saw a stingray and numerous other fishes! as well as a whole school of fish swam past us! unfortunately it was just as my camera ran out! lol! Its like a whole other world though!
This was the highlight of Cairns although it would have been good to spend longer there! Unfortunately I also broke my camera when running in the rain, slipping and falling on my bag! it was not my most graceful moment! We also went to the cheeky monkeys of Cairns, The Woolshed which was a laugh although I only went the once whihc is low by everyone lese standards!
