Too good for the waves, Scott focuses his attention toward onshore surf conditions.
Hey I'm staying in Coff's Harbour with a fellow Weyburnite. I called up Devin Moldenhauer, who's been living in Aus for like 6 years and he was kind enough to let me stay with him and his wife in their lovely home. Not only that, but Sofia and I are hanging out again until we both go home......on May 10th! That's right, I'm leaving early so I can return home with enough money to (hopefully) have some crazy times for the long weekend in May.
So yeah, I was staying in Byron Bay at the Arts Factory jungle camp. I planned to spend the rest of my travel days there cuz it's nice and cheap to stay in a tent. But man I had no mattress for the first few days and realized that although pleasantly shady, trees can be quite rooty as well. So my back was a little bent out of shape thanks to a nice big root, which I discovered after setting up camp, that ran right under the middle of my tent. Thankfully a German guy who was leaving left me his foam mattress and I was living large after that.
I was having a crazy

time with Bernd and Marko, a couple of German guys I met and also Marie and Agnes, some french girls. I almost considered going road tripping with the German guys. They were the most insane guys I'd met and they had a car even crappier than the red racer. But I realized that I could not afford to hang out with guys that drink at least 24 beers a day so I stayed behind to bask in the luxury of the jungle and my mouse-infested tent. The mice were due to me being careless and leaving a loaf of bread in my tent one day. They would continue to bless me with their presence....and their tiny smelly turds, for the rest of my stay.
But I had a big surprise on the fourth day when I was on my way to the beach and came across Sofia. She had been trying to leave a message for me from Surfer's Paradise. Turns out we kinda agreed we should hang out for the rest of the trip. And she had some terrible luck when a guy stole her handbag with a bunch of cash and her camera and phone inside. So tonight

I'm trying to convince her poor ass to come out and have some birthday drinks with me. That's right. Tomorrow I'm a quarter of a century old! 25 years old and all I have to show for is a backpack full of smelly clothes and some crazy memories these past couple of years.
Ah well, it's great relaxing here in Coff's Harbour at the Moldenhauer's place. They've been so great to us, I just hope we're not too much of a pain in the butt.
See you all back home soon. I'll be stopping off in Los Angeles for a week to visit my brother Derek and Dad and then I'll be home on May 16th.
Oh yeah, and Devin skipped work one day and took us out surfing. About time I made a fool of myself in front of the pros! Enough blabber. Enjoy some pictures!

Well actually they're a dollar but there's no one to take your money, just a mystery tube that takes your coins.
