Shark!
Just like the ones that were swiming all around us, and even towards us, turning away just at the last second! Arriving back in the busy capital came as quite a shock after being stranded on a tropical island for a few days! We had a look around the city but it's not particularly nice and it was way too hot. Later on we met up with one of our friends from the Coral Coast for dinner and went to a japanese restaurant - very nice! Then went for a few drinks in the city.
The next morning we left Suva and went to Pacific Harbour where I looked around the art's centre...Olly was in a slightly more daring mood so he decided to go diving with man-eating sharks (as you do!)!!!!!!!! I'll let him tell you about it...
I did two dives, the first going down to 25 metres to watch a wheelie bin full of fish heads and guts be hand-fed to dozens of waiting sharks (they were expecting their breakfast when they heard the boat)! It was such a surreal thing to be just a couple of metres away from so many rows of razor-sharp teeth. But then it became very real when Nathan, of the staff, invited us out one at a time into 'the arena' to get even closer to then, and then even touching them! It was SO awesome to be touching 3 metre long sharks! Then we went back to the boat and waited to do the second dive, when even more sharks attend the free feed. The second dive was down to 18 meters and was equally impressive. Bull, White-tip, Lemon, Nurse sharks were the main attenders, the first two being notoriously agressive and know 'man-eaters'! Its hard to describe what it was really like down there, but I got the DVD to just prove i did it.
We went back to the Coral Coast for a night before spending a couple of days in Nadi which is a much nicer city than Suva. We're ready to fly off to the Cook Islands tomorrow. We've loved it in Fiji though and time's gone way too quickly!!

Well Fiji looks and sounds just wonderful (perhaps I will holiday there when I retire!!) The shark dive sounds really scary and an incredible experience I'm sure. You have done so many amazing things I just don't know how you will adjust to the 'real world' when you return home. I can't wait and am looking forward to it sooooooo much. Enjoy the last bit of your travels, stay safe, love to you both. Missing you lots. Love Mum xxxxxxxx
