Edit Blog Post

Hi all, sorry it took so long to blog but we haven't been able to find cheap enough internet cafes to let us spend enough time to log in and put on a blog.
To cut a long story short....... When we arrived in Ireland, we couldn't get money out of the ATM as it rejected my card and ate Teresa's. After spending 2 1/2 hrs at the airport sorting everything out we finally made it to the hostel and on to the 6-day tour. The tour guide was fantastic - hilarious and very knowledgeable. We went to Belfast first where we went into the Protestant and Catholic areas via a black taxi tour - highly recommend this for anyone heading to Ireland, especially Northern Ireland. Then we went to Derry for a night, where again we were taken on a tour of the walls built to separate the Protestants from the Catholics. Next day we headed back to the Republic of Ireland, where we finally managed to find a bank to withdraw some money as we were very short on funds, and had to even borrow some off of some wonderful Aussies who we met on the tour - thanks Jason and Leah!! We also got to stay at a hostel/pub in the middle of the sticks called the Randy Leprechaun, where we were all up til past 1am drinking and singing karaoke.
We had some wonderful weather for the whole time we were over there and took some amazing pictures. Haven't the opportunity to add them at this stage but hopefully when we have more time over the next few days we will be able to get some uploaded. Oh! We also learned how to play Gaelic Football on the 2nd morning of our tour, and both Teresa and I managed to score a goal, making our team the winners 4-2. Yay! The best news was that Teresa's new credit card arrived within 4 days, and it was waiting for us at the hostel when we got back to Dublin. Thanks ANZ!!
We are now in the Netherlands, in the Liberal Capital of the world - Amsterdam. Our hostel is right in the centre of town with easy access to all the major sights. We just got back from a half-day tour to some of the smaller villages on the outskirts of town. We have also been to - the Van Gogh museum (glad we pre-paid for our tickets), Anne Frank House (big line up, and very popular, especially with students), the Sexmuseum, which was crazy! It horrified Teresa - poor thing. We also visited a "coffee shop" where Teresa tried one of their specialty cakes - not really a good idea with a cold, as it just made her head spin. I stuck with a coca-cola instead and had to look after Teresa once the cake "kicked in" - haha.
We are off on the train tomorrow to Paris - again a huge line up to book tickets and just to get our rail pass validated. We were also hard-pressed to find accommodation in Paris, so we are going to look at planning further ahead than we have been so we have more choice.
Signing off for now,
Teresa, Sel and Chester.

Just G'day/Bonjour!
Hi girls, great to hear you are anjoying yourselves, may be a bit tto much? That sex museum sounds interesting. don't know about the cake though. Mum lives in Saint Jacques de la Lande, very close to Rennes one of the main cities of Brittany, might pay to check it on the map. I am emailing her now to let her know you might be on your way and contacting her, remember Mum doesn't speak English, but my sister does. Have you still got the phone numbers? Enjoy the most romantic city in the world!! Bye for now Frog
