We should know better
what are we letting ourselves in for.........Arrived in Monteverde and it is just packed with adventures to do. We are staying in a treehouse type hostel and are getting no sleep for building and road works buy what the heck!!!! We decided on the canopy tours through the rainforest first of all in St Elena and also did the hanging bridges tour and then did the extreme canopy tour in Monteverde the following day. Being slightly scared of heights, i was a bit nervous but St Elena was really cool....they strap you up via belts and pulleys and attach you to the zipline cord and then send you flying for ages, hundreds of feet up in the air above the rainforest, hanging by your belt from the cord...it was so cool and you get awesome views and the wind is blowing in your face as it is so fast and it is just so cool....at least the St Elena one was kind of relaxing and you could enjoy it....
Today, we did the extreme canopy tour and it was completely different...i actually pooed my pants and was so glad when it was all over.....this was like three or four times higher than the last one
Ridiculously Long & High
You can imagine what we were saying looking out at this.... and
a lot longer....some of the ziplines were like 1500 meters....it seemed like we were dangling there for ages and that we were never going to make it to the other side....after a few ziplines....we got used to the height etc and it wasnt so bad but it was jst over this massive valley and we jst kept going back and forth over this valley which was pretty scary...especially when your not fond of heights....and your doing it for like two hours...
Then, if we weren´t scared enough, they whipped out this rappell line, 90 feet high, which was baically a rope dangling in mid air...not close to any trees or anything that you can bounce off...jst on its own and your supposed to slide down it...the guy at the bottom controls your speed and ofcourse he speed it up so your falling really fast...i was terrified and didnt want to do it but there´s no other way down so you have to do it...i screamed my head off the whole way, then nearly cried....and then it was over....i thot the worst was over and then you have to do the tarzan line...it was class but again screaming my

She was bricking it.... head of like a baby as you have to drop 5 metres before the line takes into effect...my hands were shaking after that one definitely....and im the only baby to scream....gutted!!!
The ziplines after that were a piece of cake...but of course jen has to go too slow across the last longest one which means i stop about 20 metres frm the end and im jst hanging there, dangling by a belt hundreds of feet up in the air and then the whole cord is vibrating madly as a girl is coming flying along behind me.....so Im trying not to panic...when the guy has to come out and grab me and pull me frantically along before im crashed into....so im trying not to freak out and all he wants o do is take photos of me hanging there.....ah hello....help me!!!
Jst having a few beers now trying to calm down...the extreme canopy was definitely the scariest but thats if your a wimp like me....need to shot a vodka to calm down¨...going to an actual tree house now for dinner - you think we´d have seen enough of them...hope al is well back home...

Your future career
Jenni,mum and I have never laughed so much.We think you and David have a future in writing comedy!This trip and all the different experiences you are having is incredable and everyone back home is enjoying reading the blog and looking at the photos and videos.keep em coming.
