St Patricks Day
Us enjoying the great entertainment of some of the locals singing. HI,
Well after Tyson's random thoughts on England I'm sure you were all enthrawled and waiting for our next update.
So here it is. Please forgive me for any randomness, spelling mistakes or rubbish. I am in need of a huge sleep and it's only 4.30 in the afternoon.
So we've been pretty busy at work the past few days Evelyn has to fly home to South Africa this week so I have been busy learning how to get everything ready in the mornings and do the daily cash up etc... Fun times!!! Not liking the early mornings. So 7.30 is not to early when work is just downstairs but it's a long day. I've only done it like 3 times so far and that is already enough. But I guess we will manage.
Well it was St Patricks day on Saturday which was pretty exciting. We had a karaoke night. It kicked off at about 7.30 or so and at first the only person who was singing was the organiser which was ok for the first half an hour. He was ok. Anyways eventually I decided that I would have a go. (not that I
Some editing required
The supplied badges showed Irish charm. However I did a little editing. like attention or anything) So I chose a song that I had sang before (thanks Singstar) and sang Robbie Williams - Let Me Entertain You. THroughout my performance I kept an eye on the door and I'm sure that no one left while I was singing which is a good thing. And when I was finished there were a few claps. Anyways my performance broke the ice a bit and now that they no longer had to be the first to go people actually started singing. (Alcohol also started to kick in) So there were some good one's and some not so good one's. But overall it was pretty good. We finished some time after midnight when we kicked the last couple of people out.
Anyways I started again next morning at 8.30 to practise cashing up etc... Would also like to mention that Sunday was the day chosen in the UK as Mothering Sunday. (Formerly known as Mother's day) So we had a table of 11 in plus hotel guests for breakfasts. And then had to be set up for a fully booked lunch. A long and hard morning followed by an even longer day. People can be
Sexy Hat
Very sexy hat Tyson so annoying............ We had people walk in and expect a table and when we advised that we were fully booked they look at you as it to say hmmmmm perhaps you could pull another table out of your **!*! (you get the point, I think several Grandma's read this) We were also one bar man short as Harry went to the Rugby. (A well earned day off for him, but we did miss him in the bar) So we ran around like madmen from about 11.30 to 4 trying to keep all the mum's and families happy. I think we were mostly successful.
When the day did finally end we got to eat a beautiful roast dinner. Mmmmm Roast Beef with a Yorkshire pudding and vegies. Almost made the chaos bearable. Tyson got stiffed with a double shift and had to come back at 6 to work until close. Harry showed up from the Rubgy and proceeded to laugh and tell us all about what happened. (He had an excellant time at the Rugby) He then told Tyson again on Monday. Sunday night I certainly slept well. (luckily cause I started at 7.30 the next day)
Today was
Sam and Evelyn
Having fun with Evelyn (pub manager) my day off. Although I did practise cashing up one last time before Evelyn goes. I dragged Tyson along to the grocery shop to do our weekly shop. After about 2 minutes in the store the wingeing commenced and the trolly sped up. (He really hates shopping) So we got everything we needed (as fast as possible) and then out of then.
Oh my gosh I almost forgot. It has snowed a little over the last few days. First on Sunday morning it hailed. Then Sunday night it snowed a little. Then on Monday morning it snowed several times. (Acutally it seemed to only snow while I was outside. I had to go across the road to the post office twice and twice as I got over there it started to snow and I had to walk back in it. Unfortunately I only had on a thin 3/4 sleeve shirt so it was just a little bit cold.) It snowed again today for a tiny bit this afternoon (as we were getting off the bus to cross the road and come inside).
Tyson's laptop has now been returned to us all Very lucky there. I guess that's one
Harry
A man of few words. (Enjoying the Karaoke) [:)] of the downsides of EBAY. You don't really know what your getting. But as long as you a cautious and aware it's pretty good.
Ok so I'm starting to ramble on just a little bit now so that may mean that it's definitely time for a nap. Or at least time for me to stop writing.
Anyways hope to able to update more regualarly and to be able to chat online with you guys more as now have the laptop.
Love you all. Miss you lots. Talk Soon
Bye bye now.
